Art Show at Goldcoast Ballroom by Noted Artist Arline Peartree - Opening Reception 5-7pm Saturday, February 4 (Included in Admission to Evening Social Dance) - Art Show Continues Through March 29

The Opening Reception for the Art Show was held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Saturday, February 4. Admission to the Reception was included in Admission to the Evening Social Dance at Goldcoast Ballroom on Saturday, February 4.

Note: The Art Show does not occupy any of our dance floors. Private lessons, practice, and scheduled Group Classes will continue during the Art Show.

The Art Show features 27 artworks by Arline Peartree, Noted Artist and Lecturer. The artworks on display at Goldcoast Ballroom include paintings with a ballroom dance theme. The paintings on display are for sale, and can be purchased at prices ranging from $800.00 to $1,400.00

Arline Peartree, from New York State, now resides permanently in Florida. She was inspired to do ballroom dance paintings after learning to dance at Goldcoast Ballroom. Her paintings are acrylic and mixed media on satin, and are sensuous and colorful with many dancers as a theme. Dancing shows the joy and passion of life.

Peartree is an internationally collected painter and sculptor. She is recorded in the Smithsonian as an “important American artist” and the museum catalogued her artwork.

Her work is found in the collections of many private and corporate patrons such as IBM, Con Edison, Kodak, Schenectady Museum, Albany Medical Center, University of Binghamton, Williams College, Marine Midland Bank, Shawmut Bank, EmeryAir Freight, Bronx Psychiatric Center, Schenectady Museum and many others.

Vinny Munno and Jeff Sandler inspired her to create a new theme for the dance paintings that are on display at Goldcoast Ballroom.
