Mandatory COVID-19 Safety
Procedures & Restrictions

Goldcoast Ballroom Resumes Group Classes in October!
In compliance with COVID-19 Regulations of Broward County and the City of Coconut Creek, we must observe and enforce the following Restrictions for all Classes, Practice Sessions, Social Dances & Special Events resuming in October:

Anyone not complying with these requirements, must be required to leave the Ballroom. These are County and City requirements, not a choice. Sorry; no Refunds.
Under the Regulations, we are subject to inspection by authorities at any time.

  • ENTRANCE PROCEDURES MUST BE OBSERVED WHEN ENTERING THE BALLROOM.
    • Temperatures will be checked upon entrance, using a non-touch infrared thermometer. Anyone with a temperature above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or who appears to have flu-like symptoms or other symptoms related to COVID-19 must be denied entry to the facility.
    • You must wear a Face Mask upon entering the Ballroom, and leave it on at all times within the Ballroom (see below). Please observe the markings on the floor near the Front Desk, and stay at least 6 feet away from all others at all times.
    • Upon entrance, everyone must complete and sign a

COVID-19 Questionnaire Disclosure and Waiver Form and a

      Facial Covering Requirement Agreement.

    • If you have experienced any symptoms or been exposed to anyone with symptoms typical of COVID-19 or who has tested positive within the past 14 days, please do not come; you will not be permitted to enter the Ballroom.
  • FACIAL MASKS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES WHILE INSIDE GOLDCOAST BALLROOM.   This is a County requirement, not a choice.
    • Facial Masks covering your nose and mouth and complying with CDC Guidelines must be worn AT ALL TIMES while inside Goldcoast Ballroom, including when you are dancing, while participating in class or in a practice session, or otherwise moving around in the Ballroom, while seated, when entering and leaving the Ballroom, and at all other times. Again, this is a County requirement, not a choice.
    • One Exception: You may remove your mask briefly when eating or drinking while seated at a table, at least 6 feet away from others. But you must put your mask back on promptly.   Note: We will not be serving food. Attendees may bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages, however you may not bring alcohol, beer or wine.
    • Your mask must cover your nose & mouth and must comply with CDC Guidelines.

Click Here to review Mask Guidelines from the CDC website, cited in the Broward County Regulations.

Click Here to review a CDC Flyer on “How to Safely Wear and Take Off a Mask.”

    • If you need to take a break from wearing a mask, please exit the building and stay at least 6 feet away from others in the parking lot.
    • Facial Masks requirements are in addition to, and not in place of, Social Distancing Requirements.
  • 6 FEET SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES:   WHILE DANCING, PARTICIPATING IN CLASS OR PRACTICE SESSION & AT ALL OTHER TIMES, YOU MUST MAINTAIN AT LEAST 6 FEET SOCIAL DISTANCE FROM EVERYONE OTHER THAN YOUR OWN PARTNER (OR SMALL GROUP OF NO MORE THAN 6 PEOPLE) WITH WHOM YOU CAME TO THE BALLROOM.
    • Per Broward County Orders, classes, practice sessions, dances, and other events must be restricted in number of attendees to allow social distancing of at least 6 feet between all persons other than between partners or small groups of no more than 6 people who came to the class or dance together.
    • There will be no Rotating of Partners during Group Classes. At Social Dances and practice sessions, there will be no changing of partners with anyone outside your own small group of no more than 6 people with whom you came to the Ballroom.
    • Come with your partner to Group Class, or dance solo during class. Come with your partner (or with your own small group of no more than 6 people) to Social Dances or Practice Sessions, or be ready to dance dance solo during the Dance or Practice Session.
  • LIMITATION OF ATTENDANCE. Per Broward County Orders, no more than an appropriate maximum number of people may be admitted to the Ballroom at any one time, so as to permit 6 feet Social Distancing between all people (except between partners or small groups of no more than 6 people who came to the Ballroom together). And, no more people may be admitted to any Class or Practice Dance Session than will permit social distancing of at least 6 feet between all couples and/or solos dancing.

First Come – First Serve, as to admission; provided that for certain Classes and Practice Dance Events, Reservations are required (see Schedule above and Flyers for each particular Class or Event.)

  • TABLES WILL BE SPACED AT LEAST 6 FEET APART, AND NO MORE THAN SIX PEOPLE MAY BE SEATED AT ANY ONE TABLE.   CHAIRS MAY NOT BE MOVED. You must maintain at least 6 feet social distance from everyone other than your own partner (or small group of no more than 6 people) with whom you came to the Ballroom – while seated, while dancing, and at all other times within Goldcoast Ballroom.
  • PLEASE READ THE SIGNS POSTED THROUGHOUT THE BALLROOM, AND FOLLOW THEIR GUIDANCE. In accordance with Broward County and Coconut Creek City Regulations, signs are posted throughout the Ballroom on how to stop the spread of COVID-19, including signs on properly washing hands, everyday protective measures, facial coverings (masks), social distancing, and other safety protocols applicable to patrons. Please do read the signs, and follow their guidance, for your own safety and the safety of others.
