Each Group Class is taught in two separate Groups — one for Beginners; the other for Intermediate & Advanced Social Dancers. You decide which level is most appropriate for you — Dancer’s Choice.

On October 1, Trish Berlanga will teach the Beginners class, and Lee Fox will teach the Intermediate class, for each of the dances.

In these classes, both men and women can learn to lead or to follow, or both. You can take any of the classes as lead or as follow — Dancer’s Choice.

Includes – usually in the following order, though the order can vary:

Three Group Classes:
7:00 PM – 7:45 PM – A Standard or Smooth Dance;
8:00 PM – 8:45 PM – A Latin or Rhythm Dance;
9:00 PM – 9:45 PM – An Other Social Dance;

Each Wednesday evening, we cover one dance from each style above, usually in the above order; but the order may vary on some nights.

Practice Sessions after Each Class:
15 Minutes – After each of the First Two Classes
45 Minutes* – After the Third Class

* Or until most people have left, if sooner.

We teach different dances each week, in each of the three Group Classes.
Check the Goldcoast Calendar to see which dances we are teaching in each of the three Group Classes each Wednesday night.

For each Group Class, we offer separate instruction at either beginner or intermediate level. Lee Fox usually teaches the Intermediate Class, while Trish Berlanga usually teaches the Beginner class.

7:00PM – 7:45PM – Group Class – usually in one of the Ballroom Dances (Standard or Smooth)

This class provides instruction in smooth & standard styles of Ballroom dances. Each Wednesday of the month, we will teach a different one of the Standard or Smooth Ballroom dances — which include Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot and Quickstep. Check the Goldcoast Calendar for the specific dance that will be taught on each different Wednesday of the month.

8:00PM – 8:45PM – Group Class – usually in one of the Latin or Rhythm Dances

This class provides instruction in Latin or Rhythm styles of dancing. Each Wednesday of the month, we will teach a different one of the Latin or Rhythm dances during this session — which include Cha Cha, Rhumba, Samba, Swing/ Jive, Paso Doble, Mambo, and Bolero. Check the Goldcoast Calendar for the specific dance that will be taught during this session on each different Wednesday of the month.

9:00PM – 9:45PM – Group Class – usually in one of the Other Social Dances

This class provides instruction in social styles of dance such as Salsa, Disco/ Hustle, Two Step, West Coast Swing, Merengue, and Argentine Tango. Each Wednesday of the month, we will cover a different one of these other social dances during this session. Check the Goldcoast Calendar for the specific dance that will be taught during this session on each different Wednesday of the month.

Practice Sessions After Each Class

Three Practice sessions are included when you take any of the Group Classes offered during Dancer’s Choice Night:
