The idea for Goldcoast Ballroom was created in the mind of Jeff Sandler over 20 years ago. Prior to the opening of Goldcoast, Jeff had built a reputation in Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami for organizing and running popular dances. He was known as an outstanding disk jockey and his loyal following of dancers have eagerly supported Goldcoast. As the highly regarded MC (Master of Ceremonies) at Goldcoast, he presides at our many nationally-recognized shows, special events, and spectacular performances by World Class Pros and Celebrities. In addition, Jeff acts as artistic director and oversees event-planning and event preparations at Goldcoast Ballroom.  Jeff Sandler, MC at First Annual Euro Salsa Congress, Jeff Sandler began his dancing career during the 70’s in New York hustle clubs. A few years later, he was introduced to ballroom dancing. While employed at Fred Astaire’s Fifth Avenue studio in New York City, he taught hustle, American smooth and rhythm dancing. He honed his skills as a performer, competitor, and teacher. He competed in the USBC at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel (and later in Miami) and was a member of the Dance Educators of America as well as the National Dance Council of America. Orphaned at an early age, Jeff spent his childhood in new England and Florida. As a young man, he enjoyed sports and excelled in ice skating, golf, tennis, and track. During his early years, Jeff’s artistic talent developed. After earning degrees in Fine Arts and Illustration, he was hired by the Hallmark Greeting Card Company. Later, as a freelance artist in New York City, he created meticulously detailed anatomical drawings for medical journals and designed advertising layouts and company logos for major corporations. His creative endeavors include works in oils, acrylic, airbrush, and watercolors. Jeff’s artistry soon found another avenue of expression: first as the backstage assistant manager for New York’s Club 54 and later in Florida at the Sunrise Musical Theater. His responsibilities included assisting performers and directing stage settings.Jeff studied Ballroom dance seriously, and became an accomplished Ballroom dancer, performer, and competitor. With our World Class Pro Olga Bogdanov, Jeff has won several Pro-Am competition titles and has given several outstanding performances in shows. He and Olga are pictured at right at one of the several competitions in which they competed successfully. Jeff Sandler’s diverse experiences in the world of art, dance, and show business, combined with Vinny Munno’s extraordinary business sense, dancing expertise, and musical background were vital in planning and establishing Goldcoast Ballroom. Together, Jeff Sandler and Vinny Munno have exceptional talents and skills that set them apart as dancers, artists, athletes, and business leaders. Jeff’s mission statement “There is no limitation to what one can achieve with enough passion, creativity, and character” is true of these amazing gentlemen.
