Every Thursday night, Paolo & Liene teach a one-hour class in one of the five International Standard ballroom dances, followed by a structured practice session for the students, which includes dancing with the teachers.

Each month they teach a new routine in one of the five International Standard dances — Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, and Quickstep. For more information about this style of dancing and the other styles of dancing, see our Resources/ Learn About Dance page.

At the end of the International Standard dance class, they hold a structured practice session which is open to students in the class. During the practice session, the students have the opportunity to dance with Liene and Paolo, and the students dance with each other.

The practice session usually includes a “Five-Dance” simulated competition in which student couples can perform their own routines in all five of the International Standard dances, complete with walking on the floor properly, performing each dance, bows, and applause. When time permits, the “Five-Dance” becomes a “Ten-Dance,” including also the five International Latin dances. It is lots of fun!

The admission for the one-hour class (including the structured practice session after the class) is only $15.00!
